It’s a great feeling when you start getting business consulting clients when you’re a beginner, but from the start how will you know if their an ideal client? If you’re not sure, you will need to create a profile or checklist that helps you determine exactly who fits in with you and who doesn’t.

When you start your consulting practice, you’re likely to take on anyone whom has a need and can afford to work with you. That’s a recipe for disaster and here’s why, your likely to have 20 -25% of your clients as dead and draining to you. They ask for more than they really need, they tend to be demanding and blame others for their lack of success and they tend to be the most difficult to pay on time and in full.

Now it’s not as though you can’t work with everyone it’s that you work at your best with certain types of people. At the time of enrollment of a new client it’s important to know why you would want to turn away certain types of people.

Keep this list fresh in your mind, and don’t forget it, because if you do you will be enrolling for the money only and in the end its going to cost you more than money it’s going to cost you your sanity.

Your Ideal Clients;

1. They draw out the best in you, and you sense that often.
2. Working with them inspires and motivates you.
3. They push you to want more for yourself and them.
4. They aren’t afraid to reward you accordingly.
5. You connect with them deeply and personally.
6. You feel successful because they are successful.
