Instead of laying-off, the employees are put to other use such as process innovation, diversification projects, customer engagement programmes, etc. thereby creating new opportunities for the organization. Sometimes, these employees may also come out with some revolutionary concepts that changes the business perspective and the organization finds a survival idea. 
The HR managers should think out-of-box and innovate the way the organization can tackle recession. </description>
