Job Description
Job Title: Associate Director (PR)
Division / Department: Client Servicing Team
Reports To: Sr. Director
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Devising strategic and meaningful plans for the clients.
Reviewing the activities and deliverables on a regular basis.
Understanding and articulating client requirements for consensus within the team.
Guiding and providing appropriate directions to the subordinates, ensuring that they perform and deliver to the best of their abilities.
Providing inputs for work plan, developing a strategic approach.
Providing strategic inputs for formulating client activity plans, activity reports and documents.
Providing inputs and guidelines to the team on key developments.
Understanding client expectations and working in sync with perspectives.
Regular client meetings to understand new developments in the industry.
Providing market intelligence to client based on information from industry, media and competition analysis.
Developing senior level (COB, Editor, etc.) media relations for organization and the clients.
Generating at least one WOW factor per year (i.e. an innovative/out of the box idea, plan, strategy, that is implemented successfully).
Supporting senior management on new business development.
Contribution to the client servicing team in terms of discussions, strategy planning, motivation and trainings.
Media rounds for client specific releases, if required.
Active role and support in crisis management.
Maintaining decorum of the office.
Providing support to the Management during organizational restructuring.
KRAs-KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
Client development.
Client retention.
Team development and retention.
Monitoring and evaluation of the overall campaign.
Resource allocation, account planning, budgeting and collections.
Selling value added services; developing client on fee level.
Value addition to client in terms of the PR campaign.
Active support for non media initiatives of the client.
Research on client and industry.
Maintaining senior level media relations and developing media allies for client beyond center of operations.
Maintaining client agency protocol.
Fulfillment of communication protocol both at agency and client side.
Ensuring growth, training and development of subordinates.
Monitoring growth and KPAs (Key Performance Areas) of subordinates and documenting it for quarterly / annual reviews.
Upgrading skill sets through trainings & workshops.
Ensuring successful implementation of monthly/ weekly work plans.
Final sign-off on work plan material, other client servicing documents such as plans, reviews, reports, etc.
Identifying and providing insights to clients both on industry and media.
Identifying unmet needs and gaps at client level for senior management.
Quality control of all material generated for client.\
