Lumo Energy is a maturing new entrant retailer –very well placed to capture a materially greater market share across all eastern states (http://www.lumoenergy.com.au). It commenced retailing electricity under the Victoria Electricity brand in 2004 and has grown organically as a gas and electricity retailer and currently has over 400,000 client accounts. The company is Melbourne based with over 400 staff.
A client focused retailer and sales driven business – Lumo is supported with ‘on demand’ no risk wholesale product on a client by client basis from sister company Infratil Energy Australia (“IEA”).
The Boards of Lumo Energy and IEA are common and board meetings are integrated. Business strategy has areas where close collaboration in strategy development is expected.

The CEO will lead and manage the day to day operations of the company in order to meet the strategic objectives.
These objectives are to:
• Grow client base to 10% of East Coast Gas and Electricity Markets, while maintaining stable earnings growth
• Attract the right client – high quality and low churning.
• Become an Energy provider of choice – enhanced service aspirations to enable selection and retention of a low churning, high quality customer
• Become a Partner of choice – to access clients with “loyalty”

• Employer of choice – underpins service and client retention strategy. Create a
low churn staff environment which will will improve the competence and energy of staff and provide the client with an improved quality and consistency of service
• To build a multi–brand retail model, underpinned by a great client service and
partnership culture by:
o Tailoring Lumo’s offer - Different clients want different things, and make purchasing decisions different ways.
o Value - Many clients want more than a cheap price – they want value and
sometimes “value” has nothing to do with electricity or gas.
o Partners - need good partners and their brand power
o Client Service - In order to join up with good partners, create client service that Lumo takes take pride in and others admire.
o Employees – Build an environment that fosters motivated employees
supported by good processes/systems.
o Brand - Build a brand that has an “X factor” for employees, clients and partners.
The CEO will develop and foster a high performing team environment to drive operational excellence across the business
