Project Overview:
Our client, a F500 company, is undergoing an enterprise transformation. Procurement is supporting numerous functional initiatives to reduce inefficiencies, costs, etc. Environment is fast-paced and highly focused on rapid progress and achievement of initiative milestones.

Travel expense management services is one of the categories in focus, and there is a need for an experienced resource to work with an internal category manager to source new providers and implement global process improvements in online travel management.

Responsiblities
--Support analysis of RFP responses across travel categories and for corporate credit card
--Assess current travel management practices, evaluate scenarios for process improvement based on best practices, and recommend the optimal travel management model going forward
--Develop a phased implementation plan for global operations and support implementation

Skills/Capabilities/Requirements
The ideal candidate will have experience in sourcing hotels, airline, rental cars, and online travel systems. In addition, and of greater importance, the candidate wil have exprience in defining global requirements and deploying an expense management system end-to-end.
--Expertise in travel sourcing and online travel management services/models required
--Access and/or deep knowlege of travel services/provider cost structures and pricing benchmarks, particularly in European and Asia Pacific markets
--Experience developing global requirements (KPIs, SLAs) and implementing travel services and expense management processes
--Strong analytical skills
--Strong cost modeling and financial analysis skills
--Excellent Excel skills and willingness to be hands on in data manipulation
--Strong communications skills
--Ability to work effectively in a time-compressed environment
--Change management experience
--Ability to travel abroad to support implementation as needed
--Strong preference for a local resource
--Prior experience sourcing corporate credit cards and understanding of supply market/network operations a plus

Project Location/On-Site Requirements
--CT location; approximately one hour outside NY metro
--4 to 5 days/week on-site expectation during the first three weeks of the project; flexibility thereafter based on project needs with an average of 3 days/week on-site likely

Project Duration/Start Date
--Immediate start
--6 to 8 month duration

Compensation:
--Competitive daily rate, commensurate with experience
