FMarketing Director

Job Objective: Planning and implementation of marketing structure to meet the current and future needs of the company, including setting up the Product Management function and marketing planning procedures and to spearhead the company’s operations, towards a higher rate of growth, stability and profitability consistent with overall long range plans and business strategy
Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough marketing analysis for telecommunications products and services.
• Responsible for planning developing and implementation of marketing strategies to support changing market and business conditions for sustained market leadership and growth
• Build and develop a robust brand that enjoys a preferred brand status
• Build a marketing organization with high customer orientation focused on quick service delivery and is a catalyst for change
• Gather specific customer insight to drive revenue, product marketing and development activity
• Ensure that product developments deliver market requirements, and are appropriately prioritized in line with local market needs.
• Identify and deliver products and services for competitive differentiation/Brand image enhancement/increased revenues
• Develop and execute innovative marketing initiatives to create leads for the direct sales team and campaign tactics ranging from website and social media marketing to association marketing and PR.
• Set up systems for Marketing Communication and comprehensive PR programs to enhance the image of the company within the marketplace and the general public
• Product launches, Pricing, Promotional schemes, Direct Mailing programs and Exhibitions
• Developing & executing the incentive plan & other motivational schemes for the marketing team.
• Implementation of internal systems, policies and procedures in line with the overall policies and business objectives.
• Preparation and presentation of business and marketing proposals
• Preparation of budget and manage and report all relevant brand spends
• Lend adequate support to the sales team by way of preparing collaterals and other material
• Initiate business alliances and partnerships with other brands/ companies.
• Exercise effective cost (advertising/marketing budget) control and ensure that spends is in line with budgets and revenue line items.
• Should be able to formulate important cross functional practices of effective top management for operational efficiency and profitability
• Monitor competition’s advertising and promotional activities
• Development & implementation of yearly communication plans
• Ensuring compliance of marketing / commercial controls.
• Integration with internal customers and external customers (consumer).
• Coordinating campaign logistics between marketing departments and advertising agency and assisting in organizing PR campaigns
• Staff management and their development including their training needs and supporting the business management in short term and long term strategy development
• Regularly track Competition’s activities and consumer’s needs
• Ensure customer satisfaction
Knowledgeable marketing manager in emerging markets with 10- 15 years marketing experience and at least 5 yrs in a Product Development role. Have an excellent technical knowledge of the telecommunications products and services. The Person: The Marketing Head should be a seasoned professional with proven management ability. A strong sales and marketing background from a reputed international telecom company would be ideal.
