As a pricing strategist, you will be responsible for defining client competitive pricing strategy based on client strategic and financial objectives; market and competitive analyses; client pricing capabilities and value leakage; financial modeling, analysis, and risk assessment. You will also assist clients in aligning the organization structure, enablers, and governance with the pricing strategy by working collaboratively with client's cross-functional teams.
Pricing Development & Execution professionals also have skills in developing and architecting Pricing solutions. These individuals implement the technology solutions for our Pricing enterprise applications including application extensions, interfaces, reports, conversions and development, execution and operations architecture components. Pricing Development & Execution professionals are responsible for realizing the pricing strategy with enabling technologies, processes, and organizations.
Job Description
Management Consulting professionals focus on strategy and take responsibility for organizational change and business transformation.
Pricing Delivery professionals perform analyses, advise clients, and assist with the delivery/deployment of pricing and profitability capabilities.
Key responsibilities may include:
· Preparing for and managing business diagnosis and planning activities
· Constructing project plans and apply project management techniques to delivery on commitments to the client
· Guiding team through problem definition, issue identification and action plan development using problem solving principles and past experiences
· Performing/interpreting value analysis to identify value creation opportunities for clients
· Planning and managing effort to define to-be organization processes, capabilities, application of key technologies, and performance measurements/KPIs
· Planning and managing business architecture implementation activities
· Designing and conducting business solution build, test, and deployment plans
· Monitoring achievement of strategic, financial and operational benefits, ensuring planned business outcomes are achieved and helping to adjust programs if necessary
· Helping define the structural and cultural changes required to reach the goal; sequencing those changes
· Planning and managing Application Assessment and Requirements activities
· Assisting clients in defining key capabilities /requirements in Pricing that will enable their strategy
· Defining application entrance and exit criteria
· Planning and managing application design and architecture activities
· Building skills such that you are recognized as an expert in one or more application vendors/products in pricing
· Creating project deliverable templates and standards (including coding standards, etc)
· Creating complex conceptual designs (including application interfaces and interactions)
· Identifying and monitoring interdependencies between various application implementation activities
· Planning and establishing after go-live activities including ongoing application support
Job Requirements

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
· At least 3 years of experience in pricing research or market research as director/manager or equivalent at a large firm; or an experienced consultant for a marketing or strategy consulting firm that provides strategic pricing recommendations to clients OR
· Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in pricing strategy and management OR Minimum 4 years of experience in Vendavo, DemandTec, Khimetrics, KSS, ProfitLogic, or other Pricing enterprise applications or applicable experience with in-house developed pricing tools.
· Possess advanced degree
Professional Skill Requirements:
· Areas of study - market research, applied mathematics and statistics, economics, marketing, strategy, business administration, or finance
· Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment
· Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
· Desire to work in an information systems environment
· Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
· Excellent leadership and management skills
· Deep experience in pricing analyses for large B2B and/or B2C
· Experience estimating projects and leading teams of 5+ ERP and Pricing professionals
· Strong understanding of the pricing research process from research strategy to execution.
· Possess defendable points of view on key pricing research issues
· Proven ability to design and lead complex client research projects. Includes developing and adhering to timelines, acquiring and allocating resources, ensuring quality deliverables, effective communication and project risk management
· Exposure to one or all of the following issues: pricing strategy, pricing implementation, segmentation, category management, promotional pricing, discounting and markdown down pricing
· Understand cost elements and price waterfall elements
· Strong understanding of the pricing process from strategy to execution, including information systems.
· Possess defendable points of view on key pricing issues, i.e., loyalty programs, promotional spending, pricing experiments, bundling
