Job Summary:

The Strategic and Operational Finance Analyst will report to Corinthian’s Director of Operational Analysis and will partner closely with a broad set of business leaders across functions. This role will support the development and execution of strategic & transformation plans, establish business process improvement activities and work collaboratively in a team environment to assess CCi’s current environment, define key objectives, identify success factors, and comprehend constraints. The position will be based in the company’s Southern California headquarters.

General Duties:

Perform internal and external benchmarking analysis to identify operational improvement opportunities, such as capacity optimization
Work with divisional, regional and campus leaders to implement strategic and operational initiatives

Lead the development, monitoring, and codification of relevant performance metrics related to operations to improve business performance

Work with key business leaders on student placement activities, such as tracking the development of strategic employer accounts, nationally and locally

Analyze company’s margins, pricing strategies, bad debts, attrition and student placements

Coordinate with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, risks and opportunities, new business planning, mergers and acquisitions, trended future requirements, and operating forecasts.
Design and deploy a rigorous systematic approach for continuous improvement in financial rigor and business results across the organization. Partner with functional specialists to ensure effective deployment of the approach and measure and analyze the results

Identify and analyze business opportunities such as new technologies or new growth opportunities.

Understand the key business activities and translate them into financial terms that lead to insight into the economics of each business line

Contribute to internal deliverables, including position papers, PowerPoint briefings, flowcharts, and data analysis spreadsheets.

BA or BS degree required

2-4 years of experience with operational analysis, performance improvement, change management, organizational strategy, process change and growth strategy; experience at a top consulting firm preferred

Strong analytical and modeling abilities; firm grasp of internal rate of return, net present value, options valuation and regression analysis tools; significant experience with Excel a must and familiarity with other analytical tools such as Access and SPSS preferred

A track record of initiative, ownership, execution and results
Intellectual curiosity and a hands-on approach to learning with a desire to become a subject matter expert on related business areas/issues

Seeks to gain knowledge from and give knowledge to others to produce more robust results – strong partnership/consultative orientation and focus, not only from a functional but an overall business perspective

Ability to show flexibility, creativity and adaptability
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience in partnering across all levels of an organization to create strategic business plans and objectives
