A Key client for Connected Group HK, a global investment bank and one of the key players in Asia requires a Director of Operations Change to Manage the APAC Securities back and middle office Operations Transformation program. You will primarily be responsible for ensuring a consistent regional delivery of a strategic IT platform by identifying analysing and leading change in conjunction with Operations, the business and IT. You will work closely with the line and Global teams to provide co-ordination and support for global initiatives, as well as ensuring that regional requirements are adequately represented in these global forums.

The Change Lead is responsible for the co-ordination and alignment of local in-country members of the change team, into roles ranging from business analyst and project management. The Change Lead is also responsible for overseeing the APAC regional Transformation change portfolio, providing management with information required to maintain visibility of progress, issues, costs and benefits of the projects within the portfolio.

The right candidate for this role will have opportunities to work with senior management in Operations globally to support the achievement of the banks objectives through change.

You will need to have demonstrable experience in the following:
• Oversight of the regional Transformation change portfolio
• Communicating the vision of the Transformation change portfolio to local change teams
• Chairing of regular updates with senior regional and global operations managers
• Tracking of progress, costs and benefits realisation of the change portfolio
• Ensure all strategic Change initiatives in the region are aligned to the IT architecture of the transformation vision
• Stakeholder management of the business, IT and Operations management
• Review and control of the Operations Transformation change portfolio with IT and Operations heads in the various APAC locations
• Providing regional input and support to global initiatives
• Liaising with IT on project effectiveness, deadlines, resourcing and progress
• Creating an atmosphere of innovation and professional growth
• Coach and mentor change and operations team members

• Working knowledge of Financial Services Operations and/or related projects preferably in the Investment Banking Securities Operations environment.
• Deep knowledge of Equity Operations a definite advantage
• Experience with project management principles - initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing.
• Experience of driving IT and Process change projects
• Experience of coordinating change in a large, matrix-type organisation with many different business lines and various stakeholder groups
• Ability to align multiple initiatives to deliver the big picture vision
• Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse team in a fast paced environment with many different and conflicting challenges
• Strong organizational, oral and written communication skills and be effective in cross functional teams and all levels of organization
• Analytical with strong problem solving capability
• Previous experience in developing IT solution architectures would be advantageous
• Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, in particular, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Access (not mandatory but beneficial)
